A woman from Sweden has recovered her lost wedding ring in the most unusual way.

Growing on a ‘carrot’ in the garden.

Mrs Paahlsson was pulling up carrots in her garden when she noticed one with the gold band fastened tightly around the top of it.

“The carrot was sprouting in the middle of the ring. It is quite incredible,” her husband Ola said to the newspaper.

Mrs Paahlsson lost her Wedding ring 16 years ago in 1995 when she was doing a spot of Christmas Baking, the family looked everywhere for the ring that had been designed by Mrs Paahlsson herself.

The white-gold band, set with seven small diamonds unfortunately no longer fits Mrs Paahlsson finger but she is getting it enlarged so she can wear once again.

“I had given up hope,” Mrs Paahlsson told a reported “Now that I have found the ring again I want to be able to use it”

It’s thought the ring must have been thrown out with the vegetable peelings and put on the compost heap on there farm.
